Purification and Storage

Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

Applications Tested

Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:4000.
Western blot: Approx 23kDa band observed in Human, Mouse and Rat Heart lysates and approx. 20kDa in Pig Heart and Skeletal Muscle lysates (calculated MW of 17.3kDa according to Human NP_203123.1,17.4kDa according to Mouse NP_031643.1, Rat NP_062028.1 and Pig NP_001032226.1 ). This molecular weight is routinely observed by other sources. Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3µg/ml. Primary incubation 1 hour at room temperature.
IHC: In paraffin embedded Human Skeletal Muscle shows peripheral staining of fibres. Recommended concentration, 3-5µg/ml.
